Workshop Description:
Moving Stories® are told with objects in the theater of a sandtray, followed by opportunities for a creative response to the story by individuals or groups. The Moving Stories play therapy method provides a deep way to listen, not only to what is said, but shown through creative expression. This workshop will introdue mental health therapists to the 9-steps to consider when guiding the Moving Stories play therapy experience for groups and individuals.

Sue Carroll Duffy, Psy.D., RPT-S is the creator of Moving Stories®, a playful storytelling and story-listening approach. Dr. Duffy is also author of many therapeutic stories including, Finding Diamonds, a children’s story designed to grow a relationship with nature and with self. She works for Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness as Director of Clinical Support and Innovation, and has spent her career serving tribal and rural communities in Maine.
VIRTUAL: This will be a virtual meeting. Moving Stories® requests that video cameras be on and participants visible throughout the presentation to facilitate discussion and engagement. Participants will be awarded 1 APT Non-Contact Credit Hour upon successful completion of a post-test and evaluation.
Moving Stories® is approved by the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to Play Therapy. APT Approved Provider 04-144. Moving Stories maintains responsibility for the program.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
To receive a full refund, cancellations must be requested in writing and received no later than 2 weeks before the workshop. Cancellations after this date, may be transferred to other workshops.
