Come to the MESCA Conference-Find Your Inner Peace. Moving Stories will be there, presenting "Just Listen--Creative Listening". This workshop enhances listening skills and relationships with a playful, attuned hands-on listening approach. The approach utilizes listening principles familiar to sandtray and play therapists—attuned silence and heart-filled attention as someone plays with objects in the sand. In this approach, students safely explore thoughts and feelings that tap into right-brained, or nonverbal ways of knowing. Students and staff will grown in this nonthreatening and deep way of listening that not only enhances social and emotional learning, but academic growth.
